      “The Fatah Movement emphasized that British Prime Minister Theresa May’s insistence on celebrating the 100th anniversary of the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) is completely unacceptable and is a type of renewal of the crime and direct encouragement and support of the occupation and the racist apartheid regime being implemented against our people by the Israeli occupation state.
Fatah Revolutionary Council member and Fatah Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi said in a press statement last night [Oct. 26, 2017] that the first thing the government of Britain must do is to recognize the State of Palestine, instead of celebrating the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) of the Palestinian people, the first signs of which appeared in the ominous promise [issued] on Nov. 2, 1917.”
