“The Fatah Movement emphasized that Israel has drawn up a plan for the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and began to carry it out a long time ago, and this is through the ongoing excavations under the Al-Aqsa Mosque (sic., Israel does not excavate under the Temple Mount; see note below -Ed.) and harming its foundations and weakening them, in order to make its collapse a matter of time, and to make it look as if it is a natural thing and a chance event.
Official Fatah Movement Spokesperson [and Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Osama Al-Qawasmi said yesterday [July 26, 2018] in a press release that the rock that fell from the Islamic Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount) two days ago (sic., it fell on July 23, 2018) is a dangerous sign of the situation that the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings have reached. We emphasize that the Al-Aqsa Mosque, aboveground and below it, and also its surroundings are completely Islamic and the Jews have no right to them…
Al-Qawasmi also emphasized that Jerusalem, with everything within it, is completely Palestinian and Arab, and that there will be no peace or stability without the end of its occupation by Israel.”
