Abu Diyak directed a blessing of appreciation and esteem to the Martyrs who have sacrificed themselves for Palestine from the British Mandate period, on to the Martyrs of the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) and aggression of 1967 (i.e., the Six Day War) from among the members of the Palestinian people and the precious nation, and ending with the Martyrs of the battles of Lebanon, the two Intifadas, the assassinations, and the ongoing acts of aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip…
Abu Diyak conveyed the blessings of [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas] and the prime minister to the families and relatives of the Martyrs who paved the path to freedom and independence with their blood and sacrifice, and sacrificed their souls for Palestine.
